Hi Experts,
Self taught, powerBI newbie here.
I'm trying to replace a manually updated excel spreadsheet with a PowerBI report but am struggling to work out which visual to use to display the data and how to create a measure for the number of available bookings left.
Simplified scenario is there are 2 tables:
Bookings table with a list of jobs by Supervisor, Customer and week date range.
Max Booking Table that shows the Maximum no of bookings available by Supervisor/Customer.
Available would be maxbookingsperweek - #jobsbooked for the relevant supervisor/customer combination.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this.
Thanks
Hi,
I tried to create a sample pbix file like attached.
Thank you.
Hi Jihwan, I've tried to replicate your model in my file but have a issue where the "available" data is summing the total for each supervisor rather than supervisor/customer.
As an example supervisor "Les" has 1 slot for customer "Bur" so should be showing available "-3" (1available - 4 booked) similarly for customer "Sim" he should be showing available "-10" (10available - 20 booked). Currently it's doing Les's total availabilty 17 (1+5+1+10) - booked.
Please can you assist what I've missed that is causing this error.
Thanks
Hi @adamp_nz ,
Could you please tell me if your problem has been solved? If it is, could you please mark the helpful replies as Answered to close this topic?
