Conditional Formating Rows

I am struggling to format my matrix visual and I am not sure if its possible. I have a Template I created in Excel with column Line Item Description and column Highlight. I am trying to color the rows in Line Item Description where highlight value = 1.

All the videos and articles I have watched/read they have an option for conditional formatting. I do not have this option and I am not sure why.

I can only conditional format the values.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, @doingwork

based on Microsoft, conditional formatting is allowed in rows. see image below.

check this document: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-conditional-table-formatting

If you want to add conditional formatting in a row, here is a funny way to do it.

1. create a measure. name it anything you want. for example. alert =

2. just leave the measure as is. do not write anything. then add conditional formatting on this newly created measure based on your desired column or measure.

3. once the formatting is set, reorder that measure by the row side. meaning drag the measure to the top of the value field.

instead of alert measure name rename it from the values and put a .

i know this will be hard to understand. but I usually use this way. it works for me.
