Concatenate with "-" but not blank values

I need to concatenate 2 columns with a "-" between them, but I don't want the "-" on blank fields. Below is what I have, just don't know how to remove the "-" from the blank fields.

Project_ID_Name = Table 1[Project_ID]&"-"&Table 2[Project_Name]

Thanks,
Debbie

Hi @Anonymous ,

Try this:-

Project_ID_Name =
VAR result = 'Table 1'[Project_ID] & "-" & 'Table 2'[Project_Name]
RETURN
    IF ( result = "-", BLANK (), result )

or more better way you can try this:-

Project_ID_Name =
VAR result =
    IF (
        'Table 1'[Project_ID] <> BLANK ()
            && 'Table 2'[Project_Name] <> BLANK (),
        'Table 1'[Project_ID] & "-" & 'Table 2'[Project_Name],
        COALESCE ( 'Table 1'[Project_ID], 'Table 2'[Project_Name] )
    )
RETURN
    IF ( result = "-", BLANK (), result )

Thanks,

Samarth

That was much more complex and intimidating for me since I'm new to DAX. Thank you so much!
