I have a client who manage and maintain equipment. They created a battery list and I want to use Power BI to make it easy for them to see compatible models. One column is used to group the batteries by compatibility using a number (e.g. 6 different batteries are set to group 100, 3 are set to group 200, etc.). I was thinking of using a slicer showing all models so they can come into the Power BI dashboard, click a model and then see all other compatible models in a matrix visual. I can't figure out how to make this happen without creating a second slicer showing the groups. They would then need to select a model to show the correct group, select it from the group slicer, then de-select the model. Is there a way to do this without the extra steps?

OK, this is a bit complicated but seems to work.
Import your Batteries list twice, the whole thing, or at least Model and Group.
Create a separate query just for unique Groups
Relate both Battery lists to Groups by Group column
In Batteries table in data model, add the following calculated column:
Column = CONCATENATEX(RELATEDTABLE(Batteries2),Batteries2[Model],",")
Now, you can put a table on your report that lists "Column", when they select the battery model in the slicer, they will see the compatible batteries.

Thanks so much for the tip - that worked great!
