I am wondering if there is any way to get a hierarchal slicer to compact itself to only show the selected item and not the full path, eg instead of "ALL (All) + Grouping B (GroupBTable) + Selection 4" to just show "Selection 4". Unless I have the slicer obnoxiously wide the actual selected item is cut off and the path through the hiearchy is the only thing shown, but as each item in the hiearchy is unique I do not need the full path shown in this slicer. I looked in formatting options and the drop downs on the slicer but could not find anything to control this, is it possible?
Thank you!
Hi, @wcarter
Based on my tests, it is unsupported to only show the selected item and not the full path for a hierarchy slicer in Power BI currently. I'd like to suggest you contact with the author about the requirement.

Hi @wcarter - I faced similar issue once and i guess i used a custom visual ("Hierarchy Slicer") and this collapses automatically.
Can you try and see if that helps.
Cheers,
