Combining data in rows

Hi all,

I have this kind of dataset:

Table 1:

Name  |  Number

A         |       1

B         |       2

C         |       3

D         |       4

table 2:

Name  |  Number

Aa         |       1.1

Ab         |       1.2

Bb         |       2.1

Bc         |       2.2

Cc         |       3.1

Cd         |       3.2

Dd         |       4.1

De         |       4.2

I want to create a measure that return this kind of structure in my matrix:

Name | Number

A        |      1

   Aa   |     1.1

   Ab   |     1.2

B        |      2

   Bb   |     2.1

   Bc   |     2.2

And so on. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks!

Table 1:

MACROName  |  MACRONumber

A         |       1

B         |       2

C         |       3

D         |       4

table 2:

MICROName  |  MICRONumber

Aa         |       1.1

Ab         |       1.2

Bb         |       2.1

Bc         |       2.2

Cc         |       3.1

Cd         |       3.2

Dd         |       4.1

De         |       4.2

I want to create a measure that return this kind of structure in my matrix:

Name | Number (MACRO THEN MICRO)

A        |      1

   Aa   |     1.1

   Ab   |     1.2

B        |      2

   Bb   |     2.1

   Bc   |     2.2

I try to explain better with ore informations

Hi Ryan,

thanks for the reply.

The problem is that i want to keep the 2 tables divided because there are other datas that i didn't include in the previous example (that was a semplified version).

That said, I'm trying to create a measure that helps me visualize the numbers so I can create an index like measure to sort the matrix.

Hope this helps a little bit.

@Filippomonti

do you mean there is no relationship between two tables?

I didn't combine the tables. I just created a new column in table 2.

Could you pls provide more sample data so that I can provide better solution for you?

@Filippomonti

based on your sample data, maybe I will use LEFT function to create a new Name column and create relationship between Name column in table A and New name column in table B.
