Changing the data source

Hello,

My Entire dashboard is powered by few tables in a warehouse in snowflake. Now i want to just point the power bi to same set of tables which are in another warehouse in snowflake.

When i check in the data source setting, i could see the current connection but change source option is disabled.

Please let me if its possible point the power bi to same tables in another  warehouse.

If this is just a one-off exercise then you can create a new query in a blank Power BI report and connect to a table in the new data warehouse. Open Advanced Editor in both the new report and the existing report which connects to the old warehouse, and look at the first couple of lines. You should be able to see the connection string properties and the differences between them, and you can copy the details from the new one to the old.

If you're going to be switching again in the future, you could look at storing the connection string details in a parameter to make it easier to switch between warehouses.

Obviously, keep a backup of the existing report in case things go pear shaped.
