Cannot mark snowflake table as date table

I am trying to set a snowflake table as date table. I have confirmed that the date column that I am using as a key has a date datatype and has unique values. However when I try to mark it as Date table, the OK option is disabled. Note: Using direct query

What am I doing wrong?

Surprisingly I could convert the table to Date table after I moved it to Import mode.

Not sure if I can. Is there a restriction on marking tables as date tables that are running on DirectQuery mode?

DQ mode does not affect this function, I need more details to judge.

@sthatte , Have you already marked as key column, if yes revert that.  make sure column Tools shows it as date and not Key icon in front on the date name.

After that, you try this again
