Cannot load model

Hi community,

Since yesterday I have wierd issues with one of my reports:

casto_jm_0-1655279319634.png

All tables are imported to report so Direct query is not used. The really weird thing is that all of my backups of this report are throwing the same error. I am using the newest version of power bi but I also tried the march release as well. I tried to run this report on two different PCs and result is the same. I have production and test version of this report and both of them are working on Power BI platform but when I download files the issue remains the same. It's really weird that my backups which are from 2021 and are much much less complex, are facing the same issues. I found in the Internet that this might be related with SSAS instance running in background when report is opened but I don't know what to do with this information

Hi @casto_jm ,

We couldn't connect to your DirectQuery data source or internal model. Double-check that your server and database names are correct, and that you have permission to access them.

According to your statement, I think there should be something wrong with your credential.

1. Please check whether all data models are imported to Power BI. If there is Direct Query data model in your report, your local machine should have access to your data source.

2. Try to open a new powerbi desktop, and clear the datasource permission.

And then please reopen and reconfigure your pbix file. Make sure your loacl machine has access to your data source.

Best Regards,
Rico Zhou
