Hello,
I have a relationship between two tables and relationship is currently inactive, many to one and cross-filter direction set as both. Both tables storage mode is import. The problem is that I cannot do any changes to that relationship or delete it. What makes this strange is that I get no errors, changes just don't apply. I've tried properties window, manage relationship window and straight delete from model view. I get that "Working on it" notification but nothing happens. Are there any ways to solve what prevents editing / deleting? Thanks!
Hi @Testeri , you can try TMDL view in Power BI desktop and try to edit that relationship
please let me know did this solve your problem

Thank you.
Hi, this is not resolved yet.
Hi @Testeri ,
We really appreciate your efforts and for letting us know the update on the issue.
As a final troubleshooting step, Uninstall and re install the latest version of Power BI and then check if you are able to delete the relationship for this model.

Hi @Testeri ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
The PBIX file may have become corrupted, try clearing the cache and restarting Power BI Desktop. Save your work first, then navigate to File -> Options and settings -> Options -> Data Load -> Clear Cache. After clearing the cache, restart Power BI Desktop and attempt the operation again.
If the issue still persists after clearing the cache and restarting, you may need to create a new PBIX file, re-import the same tables, and rebuild the report within the new file to resolve any underlying corruption.

Hi, rebuilding report is not an option because there are so many reports and data model is large and complex. Thanks anyway.
Is the data source for your .pbix file the data model from another .pbix file that was published to the service maybe? If so, you would have to delete the relationship in that model, yours is just pointing at it but cannot change it.
Data model is created in the current pbix file.
You can download Tabular Editor from SQLBI and maybe that will let you edit the file.
https://www.sqlbi.com/tools/tabular-editor/
You would open your .pbix
Open Tabular Editor, click open a model from existing database and pick your .pbix file.
Then expand the relationship folder, delete the relationship and save the file in Tabular editor.
Thanks but I cannot delete relationships in Tabular Editor neither.
Hello @Testeri ,
try deleting it from the model tab as in the below

Hi, thanks but this didn't work. No error but the relationship doesn't disappear.
Hi @Testeri It might be because of the PBI file i guess....could you try restartingPower Bi and these
Hi, thanks but these didn't help. Cannot delete the relationship and cannot even delete the table.
