Can you return a measure to Power Query from Power BI

Hello, 

I'm new to using Power BI but have used Power Query in Excel for about 1 year.

I previously used two named ranges in Excel to control a Date range and used these as a filter Parameter in Power Query. This worked a treat until I decided to move to Power BI.

I created a Date Slicer with Start Date & End Date measures in Power BI but do not know how to return these values to Parameters that can be used in Power Query.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Hi @Rae2023 

This is not possible. Power Query is a one-way-street to load data fro, several data sources into Power BI Desktop. As soon as the data are in the Desktop data model or in the Report you can not bring them back to Power Query. 

What might help you is to create a manual table in Power Query which you then use to influence the Queries in Power Query or to maintain the parameters directky in Power Query. The other option is to still maintain your parameters in Excel and load them into Power Query for Power BI Desktop.
