COM error: Microsoft.Data.Mashup, [DataFormat.Error]

Hello,

I perform a weekly Monday refresh on a Power BI that appends multiple datasources all within the company's share drive. Last Monday, the refresh went through perfectly.

This week, after the new Desktop update, I am only receiving the message:

Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'COM error: Microsoft.Data.Mashup, [DataFormat.Error] The supplied URL must be a valid 'http:' or 'https:' URL.. '.

This is the first time this has happened, and after running through every query with my supervisor, there is no reason it should be happening aside from the new update possibly. Please let me know if this is happening to you, and what you have done that has remedied it.

Hi @agriley0 ,

What version of Power BI Desktop did you use originally? Or you can try the App store version and test again.

We suggest you to open a ticket here for help: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Let the engineer solves this issue from your perspective is better.
