Hi everyone,
I have an issue with multiples reports. I am working on a project involving a data transfer from a ssas cube to d365.
The data has been transferred and I now need to update the reports that were using ssas.
The problem is that I can't open the reports to change sources because I get the following message: "Unable to connect. We encountered an error while trying to connect. Details: We could not connect to the Analysis Services server because the connection timed out or the server name is incorrect"
Do you have any idea how I can open the report on Power BI Desktop (even if no data will be loaded), so I can change the data source and the visual fields?
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi @marque_antoine ,
According to your description, it depends on your connection mode. import mode connection to ssas data source will import the data model into desktop after the first successful connection, and you can use the imported data to build different visual reports at any time without updating the data. If the data source is connected in live connection mode, you need to verify the credential information for each query and then get the query data from the data source.
In addition, for changing the data source model, you can only change it in the analysis service, not in desktop.
For connection timeout or failed connection to the server, you can delete the credentials in Date source setting and reconfigure the ssas credential information.
If the problem is still not resolved, please point it out let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Henry
