Bookmarks Not Working

Any idea why all of my bookmarks are no longer working in the PBI Desktop?  When I open the Bookmark view, I can move from page to page.  However, whenever I use the associated bookmark button on a page, it does not work.  When I hover and press Ctrl, the pointer remains a pointer and does not change to a "hand" for navigation linking.  It merely activates the visual for editing.  I recently updated the Desktop with the April release and that's when I noticed things have stopped working.

OK, finally figured out what was going on.  My original bookmarks used a square shape as the button.  However, to get the text in it, I had to use the Shape Title for that.  All worked fine until the recent release of Buttons.  For some reason, the Shape Title is no longer a "hot" spot.  My bookmarks were sized to just show only the title.  That's why I only get the pointer symbol now only in certain locations.  Looks like I've got to re-create hundreds of bookmarks into a Blank button with text.  Hate it when that happens!

I'm also having the same issue as the OP.

You just saved me! I spent hours trying to understand why it was not clickeable, It should be a Text instead of a Tittle. Thanks a lot!

Some additional information: It seems as though the area in the bookmark button that activates the hand symbol has been greatly reduced to just the very top of the visual where it meets with the visualization header.  Merely hovering over the button no longer gets you the hand symbol, you now have to "hunt" for it until it activates.  This is not good and defeats the purpose of using a button.

It appears this is being caused by the April edition of the "Buttons" feature.  If you create a button using "Buttons", it works like it always has.  However, if you use a shape for a button, it does not work as before.  Could you PLEASE change it back to its previous default behavior?

Hi @tjd,

First, I would suggest you upgrade the Desktop to the version released yesterday.

It seems fine in my test. As we can see from the video, it's arrow when the action is off. Then it turns to hand when the action is on.

Upgraded to most recent version, which I had already done (Version: 2.57.5068.501 64-bit (April 2018)).  When I create a new shape-based bookmark, it works as you describe.  However, whenever I hover over my existing bookmarks, the arrow remains until I get to the point where the visual and header border meet where it then turns into the pointer.  Please correct whatever you've done so that it will go back to its original default operation that you describe in your video.
