I have a data table named ResourceDocuments with a nullable foreign key column named ResourceDocumentStatusId that references the ResourceDocumentStatuses table.
In Power BI I've created a new matrix where the Row is the ResourceDocumentStatuses.Name and the Value is the count of a new column created in Power BI with the following expression:
CreatedOnLastWeek = (
IF(WEEKNUM(ResourceDocuments[CreatedOn]) = WEEKNUM(TODAY()) - 1, 1, BLANK())
)Where I'm running into an issue with is if there is a row in the ResourceDocuments and its ResourceDocumentStatusId is null, it is displaying a blank label for the row name (not "blank" but literally an empty String); see image below.
Is there a way to provide a custom label for this blank row name?
Hope you have tried filter pane or Visual level filter by picking metric column and droping in filter pane and check all and uncheck blank.
To be honest, I do not remember what I did. All I know is that I'm glad that I'm not on Power BI anymore and just back to raw SQL.
Correct but what to do if the same problem occurs in excel?
You realize that this thread is over 4 years old and not even remotely related to Excel, right?
Hi @dday9
You want to replace the blank row with a new name, right?
It seems impossible.
You could filter out the blank row.
Please find the reasons and workarounds for this case below:
