Apply Conditional Formatting

Hello All,

I have a requirement where I need to apply conditional formatting Like,

If the date is in the past i.e < today then paint it green, if not then determine the formatting based on a Variance measure that i have created. If variance is <0 then paint it green, if >0 and <30 then Amber.

Can someone please help me with this requiremnt as i have to urgently implement this.

Regards

Hi @Kish1999 ,

You can create your measure as below:-

conditional_formt =
IF (
    MAX ( table[your_date] ) < TODAY (),
    "Green",
    IF (
        [variance] < 0,
        "Green",
        IF ( [variance] > 0 && [variance] < 30, "Amber" )
    )
)

or

conditional_formt =
IF (
    OR ( MAX ( table[your_date] ) < TODAY (), [variance] < 0 ),
    "Green",
    IF ( [variance] > 0 && [variance] < 30, "Amber" )
)

Here is another measure you can try with a SWITCH function:

FormattingMeasure =
IF (
    MAX (Date[Date]) < TODAY(),
    "Green",
    SWITCH (
        TRUE (),
        [Variance] < 0, "Green",
        [Variance] >= 0 && [Variance] < 30, "Amber",
        "Other"
    )
)

Hi @Kish1999 ,

You can create your measure as below:-

    "Green",
    IF (
        [variance] < 0,
        "Green",
        IF ( [variance] > 0 && [variance] < 30, "Amber" )
    )
)

or

conditional_formt =
IF (
    OR ( MAX ( table[your_date] ) < TODAY (), [variance] < 0 ),
    "Green",
    IF ( [variance] > 0 && [variance] < 30, "Amber" )
)
