I have a "Sales Autoupdate" file which is rewritten every day coming from the ERP System which is the primary source for sales info.
Know I want to adjust some data in this file (sales moved from 2023 to 2024) but I cant do it manually in the data since it is updated.
What is best practice to solve this? Add a new source with the adjustment and then merge them? How do I merge?

Probably you can do it like you said using two sources and using append option.
The append option is like UNION so the two tables must have the same structure and there is in this reabon Home-->Append Queries:
