The Fabric Rest API document do not cover this issue and currently i have a python code that i a trying to trigger the data pipeline but continue to get "The operation is not supported for the principal type" , I have enabled the service principle for whole organization so not sure whether the API supports it or not.

As the error message suggests, “The operation is not supported for the principal type.” There is no documentation on this at the moment.

Service principal authentication is currently not supported for fabric data pipeline REST APIs;hence you are getting the error message.
