[beginner] Select a range of numbers in a column

Hello, i ve tryng to filter the column and its been a hard time. I have just 1 column and i need to filter this column between two numbers.

i need to make a new column getting the numbers of this column between -8 and 8 . 

Ex.

-11

10

6

4

the new column will be only 6 and 4 excluding -11 and 10

New Column =
  VAR __Column = [Column1]
  VAR __Result = IF(__Column > -8 && __Column < 8, __Column, BLANK())
RETURN
  __Result
