WEEKDAY function

Why am I not able to implement WEEKDAY function in my PowerBI model?

 

I am using the syntax: =WEEKDAY([Date Table], 2)

need a date column, not just a date table. Something like:

 WEEKDAY(DimCalendar[Date])
