Reference a filter in a CALCULATE DAX with reference to another field in another table

Hi,

Is there anyway i can write a CALCULATE DAX to apply the <filterwith reference to another table's selected field?

FILTER(<table>,<filter>)

In this CALCULATE DAX below, I'm trying to equate the <filter> so that it is the same as per the "Run date from another table called CURRENT_DATE". Any suggestions how this can be done?

VAR FilterTotalAmount =
CALCULATE ( [Total Amount],FILTER(MAIN_DATA,MAIN_DATA[RUN DATE]= "Run date from another table called CURRENT_DATE")

@gracechong , Try like

VAR FilterTotalAmount =
CALCULATE ( [Total Amount],FILTER(MAIN_DATA,MAIN_DATA[RUN DATE]  in values(Table2[CURRENT_DATE]))
