New Measures in Table

Hello All!

I have been working in a Power BI a few months and have started to create new measures within visuals. Still very novice and have run into the below road block.

I have specific problem that I am trying to overcome and second If anyone has any feedback on how to do this more efficiently that would be awesome!

I am trying to return a specific value based on a few conditions in a table visual and they are giving the error that I have exceeded the visuals resources.

They are 3 seperate "New Measures" and I written them like the below. I would like to know if there a more effecient way to do this and if somone has any pointers on how to get these into one formula without exceeding the visual resources.

New Cap = IF(MROUND('Shelf Picks'[ASP - MCP]*3,SUM(V_MDLMASPF_BL[MDMACSQ]))=0,SUM(V_MDLMASPF_BL[MDMACSQ]),MROUND('Shelf Picks'[ASP - MCP]*3,SUM(V_MDLMASPF_BL[MDMACSQ])))

Cap 2 = IF([Rounding CAP]> SUM('Shelf Locs'[CAPACITY]),SUM('Shelf Locs'[CAPACITY]),[Rounding CAP])

Final CAP = IF([Cap 2]=0,SUM(V_MDLMASPF_BL[MDMACSQ]),[Cap 2])

Hi @bscwharze ,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Power BI Desktop table visual. The error message “Visual has exceeded the available resources” usually indicates that the visual is trying to query too much data for Power BI to complete the result with available resources:

I suggest that you try filtering to decrease the amount of data displayed. You can also try switching fields between the rows, columns, or axis legend, or removing fields from the visual.
If you’re still encountering the error, it’s possible that the DAX calculations used in the visual are inefficient and causing the query to try to grab a lot of memory. In this case, you may want to tune the DAX calculations used in the visual so they use less memory and return faster.
I can't give a more specific solution because I don't know your specific data usage and the query complexity of your DAX, but you can refer to the following documentation or post to try to find a solution:
