MTD Sales = CALCULATE(lastnonblankvalues('Date'[Date],DISTINCTCOUNT('Visitors'[Visitor ID])) ,DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))
@Anonymous , for that you need a measure like
MTD Sales = CALCULATE(lastnonblankvalues('Date'[Date],DISTINCTCOUNT('Visitors'[Visitor ID])) ,DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))
