MONTH from date column

Hi everyone!

I want to calculate the amount of sales id, where the one date column of a sale is not equal to BLANK() and another date column less than the date selected on a slicer. The slicer is slider with the minimum selected date and a maximum. This makes it even more complicated for me to calculate but at least, I want to calculate the amount of id.

I tried this:

CALCULATE(

           DISTINCTCOUNT(fact_sales[id]),

           fact_sales[closed_date] <> 0,

           FILTER(

                   fact_sales,

                   MONTH(fact_sales[created_at]) <       MONTH(DATE(TODAY()))

)

But, it doesn't work 😞

I'll appreciate any help. Thank you a lot.

Hi, @Anonymous

According to your description, you want to get the count of ID in which the one date column of a sale is not equal to BLANK() and another date column less than the date selected on a slicer, right? I think you can create a calendar table and a new measure to achieve your requirement, you can follow my steps:

  1. Create a calendar table:
Date = CALENDARAUTO()
  1. Create a measure like this:
Count of fitered ID =

COUNTX(FILTER(ALL(fact_sales),[closed_date]<>BLANK()&&[created_date]<MINX(ALLSELECTED('Date'),[Date])),[id])
  1. Then you can create a date slicer to place the date column in the newly created table and a card chart to place the measure like this:
