Data from start of year until selected month from slicer

I have two slicers: One to select the year and one to select month.

I need to visulize data from the start of the year until the selected month. Like this:

How do i set the selectedmonth into the filter of the visual?

There are two methods to achieve your demands.

This is my test table:

The first method is to add field into filter pane as you mentioned.

The second method is to use slicer. Format your month slicer like this:

You can visulize data from the start of the year until the selected month:

Thank you! We are looking for a solution where we do not need the between slicer. 

Also the other alternative, with the filter, we cannot find a way for this to be dynamic, i.e. change based on the selected month. 

Any other solutions to this?
