CALCULATE

Hello,

I want to create a measure that shows me the values before the 01.07.2020 and a second one that shows me the values before the 01.07.2020 (see appendix).

-> CALCULATE([A Number Net],FILTER('qry_GivenOrders2016-2020','qry_GivenOrders2016-2020'[A_D_GIVER].[Date]>01.07.2020)) -> the function does not work

-> CALCULATE(SUM('qry_VergebeneAufträge2016-2020'[A_ZAHL_NETTO]),FILTER('qry_VergebeneAufträge2016-2020','qry_VergebeneAufträge2016-2020'[A_D_VERGABE - Jahr] in {2016,2017,2018,2019})) -> the function works but is not helpful.

Hi @DagdasAlbag

I'm not sure I understand and would need more details but try this. Change the inequality sign if necessary to adapt it to your needs:

CALCULATE (
    [A Number Net],
    FILTER (
        'qry_GivenOrders2016-2020',
        'qry_GivenOrders2016-2020'[A_D_GIVER].[Date] > DATE ( 2020, 01, 07 )
    )
)

It is recommended to use a date table instead of the auto Date/Time feature

Hi, @DagdasAlbag , you may try,

CALCULATE (
    [A Number Net],
    'qry_GivenOrders2016-2020'[A_D_GIVER].[Date] > DATE ( 2020, 01, 07 )
)

Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension!

DAX is simple, but NOT EASY!
