gateway issue - cluster setup
Hello,
For a long time, our Power BI gateway server has run without any issues. We recently added a second server to run in parallel with it. Installation was straightforward, and the new server is now part of the gateway cluster alongside the existing one.
During testing, we found that the new server cannot access Microsoft SharePoint locations and returns a timeout error. The only notable difference between the two servers is that the new one is hosted in a different data center. Network tests confirm that the server can reach SharePoint without any problems at the network level.
Thanks in advance for your feedback. You can find the error message as follows:

Hi merkol,
The DMTS_GatewayIsDisabled message is expected because the old gateway was intentionally disabled; the actionable error is the Mashup query execution timeout on the new gateway server. Since Server 2 is in a different data center, run the gateway Network Ports Test and verify the required firewall and proxy connectivity. Also verify the proxy configuration, including Microsoft.Mashup.Container.NetFX45.exe.config, as Microsoft documents this for cloud data-source queries through the gateway. Finally, ensure both cluster members are running the same gateway version, as Microsoft recommends keeping cluster member versions in sync.
