MAPS, FILLED MAPS, FLOW MAPS ARE NOT LOADING/APPEARING

Whenever i apply Maps, Filled Maps, Flow maps visual, It works sometimes by showing the Bubble but the Map itself is not working.

I have given all the Access in Option - Security. My Azure Maps is working Just fine but all other maps is showing the same issue.

  • Hi Anonymous ,

My data here is correct, but i have seemed to find the issue, All these maps are based on Bing maps and i tried opening bing maps on my browser, which showed error.

The solution i found was changing network, Earlier i was using my office Lan which i believe has some restrictions, but when i switched to personal wifi, all the maps visual and maps started working just fine.

Currently our IT team is trying to figure out why bing maps is not working in Office Lan, cause according to them, there should be no restictions for Bing maps.

I have found changing the Network was the Solution.

    Hi SurajDhal ,

Filled Maps require geographic data to be in a specific format. For instance, country, state, or city names must be correctly spelled and recognized by Bing Maps since Power BI uses Bing for its geocoding service.

These are the limitations imposed by Bing Maps. Sometimes, the issue arises not from Power BI itself but from the data available through Bing Maps. Some locations, particularly in regions with less detailed mapping or non-standard administrative divisions, may not display as expected.
