Filled maps

Though I can use the Shape map visual without problems, I'm unable to use the Map, Filled map or Azure map visuals. This even though I navigated to Options and Settings > Options > GLOBAL > Security and checked "Use Map and Filled Map visuals". Can someone please offer me a solution.

  • HI sldeazua ,

One of the potential reason why you don't have access to filled maps could be because it is disabled by your Fabric administrator within your tenant.

There is a setting under Admin portal to enable usage of maps within the organisation. Once this is enabled you should have access to filled map.

Reach out to your Fabric Administrator to enable these settings under Admin Portal. Once they are enabled, you will be able to use them in Power BI.

Thank you for your help. The solution you recommended work well and I have enable Filled maps and so forth.

  • Thank you for your response. However, I'm a personal user of Power BI and I'm not a Fabric user. So, I believe your suggestion does not apply to my case.

      Hey sldeazua ,

Power BI is now part of Fabric universe. So it is still valid.

As it is your personal Power BI tenant, you are your FAbric Administrator/Power BI Administrator.

Kindly got to app.powerbi.com --> settings --> Admin Portal --> enable the settings I had in my earlier screenshot.
