Displaying Blank Fields

I think I may have found an answer but I don't know how fool proof it is? If I add the revenue amount field to the table, then right click and select "show items with no data" then remove the revenue amount field since I don't want it displayed, it seems to stick?:
If that's all I have to do then I won't make it any harder than it needs to be...
