Private link validation failed due to DeniedByPolicy
Am getting the below error while uploading files into lakehouse
An error occurred. Message : Private link validation failed due to DeniedByPolicy Error Code : DeniedByPolicy HTTP response code : 403 Client Request Id : 933401c7-c426-43bf-b381-da1eab6feebe Activity Id (Failed Request) : b8a532ef-ab80-4d8c-9eaf-bbcdedc1ab4a User session Id : 4d5fd577-815c-4f06-9d72-58dbcaec5d57
hi HarishRamesh
The error seems to indicate that an Azure Policy or networking policy is blocking the creation or validation of a required private endpoint/private link connection.
A few things to check:- Verify whether your organization has Azure Policies enforcing or denying private endpoint creation
- Confirm that the Fabric capacity / storage account are configured to allow the required private network access
- Check with your Azure networking or security team, as this error is often caused by tenant-level governance policies rather than a Fabric configuration issue
- If the issue started recently, verify whether any new networking, firewall, or policy changes were deployed.
Give it a try and all the best!
Appreciate if you can "Kudos" and/or "Accept as Solution" if this answered your query.

Hi HarishRamesh,
It seems like that's the Org/network is blocking the required endpoint path and not the file issues. Can you conform below things?
- On tenant/workspace level any link or network security is enabled.
- If you are using VPN/Firw Wall, it's not reaching the path or not resolving the private endpoint resolution path.
- If these are in place please check the lakehouse access you have Contributor/Write access to the lakehouse.
If still you are facing issues, you can reach out your D365 admin and show the same error message along with the request and session ID.
Hope this helps, please consider as an accepted solution or give some kudos.

Hi HarishRamesh
Can you confirm that you can open and view the Lake House and the Lake house files on the private linked workspace? The reason for this is to ensure that you do have the appropriate permissions and you are connecting via a private network in order to access it successfully.

This error usually means a Private Link or network policy is blocking the Lakehouse upload. Check your Fabric Private Link, firewall, and workspace network policies, and look for a rule causing the DeniedByPolicy 403 error.
