Hello community I get this error on a table visual in the Power BI Service in a Table visual : The context is the following Table Source : ~600M rows, Import mode, loaded from Snowflake. Capacity: F64. The visual only uses columns from the table (no DAX, no calculated columns). The query is over the limit as you can see. Is there a way to stay under it while keeping a single visual? Can the per-query memory limit be raised on F64, or is 10 GB the maximum for this SKU? Thank you!45Views1like4CommentsDisplay personal bookmarks as a list on the report canvas
I want report viewers to create their own personal bookmarks and access them through a clickable list directly on the report canvas, instead of using the Bookmarks pane. The built-in bookmark navigator only supports report bookmarks, which viewers cannot create. Is there a way to display each user’s personal bookmarks within the report canvas, perhaps through a custom visual or another workaround?118Views2likes10CommentsDynamic formart

The first column, should be apply format to each leven in hierachy, (colof font, font, italic, bold) in a table/matrix visual. Country 1 425 City 1 300 City 2 125 Country 2 456 I don't find such as configuration, :(. Hello, I am using the attached data and want to add a column with both legislator names wherever the district matches. Example: Selina Bliss and Quang H Nguyen are both representatives for District 1, so I want to add a column which says "Selina Bliss, Quang H Nguyen" for both rows 1 and 2, and so on for the rest of the districts. The reason I want to do this is to make filtering in visuals cleaner, since I cannot currently show both representatives in a table without it duplicating other fields of the table. How can I achieve this? District Legislator Name Desired Outcome 1 Selina Bliss Selina Bliss, Quang H Nguyen 1 Quang H Nguyen Selina Bliss, Quang H Nguyen 10 Ralph Heap Ralph Heap, Justin Olson 10 Justin Olson Ralph Heap, Justin OlsonSolved32Views0likes3CommentsPower BI interpreting DD/MM/YYYY dates as MM/DD/YYYY when day is 12 or below
a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Hi, I'm having an issue with dates coming from an Excel source into Power BI. The source dates are intended to be in UK format (DD/MM/YYYY). However, dates where the day is 12 or below can be interpreted as MM/DD/YYYY, which moves transactions into the wrong month and significantly affects the monthly totals in the report. For example, an intended date such as: 08/10/2026 = 8 October 2026 can potentially be interpreted as: 10 August 2026 The problem is particularly difficult to identify because dates where the day is greater than 12 cannot be interpreted the other way around, so the issue appears to affect only the ambiguous dates at the beginning of each month. The report uses an Excel source and the affected field needs to remain a proper Date data type because it is related to a Date table and used for monthly filtering and measures. I would like to ensure that Power BI always interprets the incoming values as: DD/MM/YYYY / English (United Kingdom) rather than relying on automatic locale detection. What is the most reliable way to enforce this at import/Power Query level so that it remains correct after refresh and after publishing?Solved88Views2likes6CommentsNavigate Between Multiple Power BI Report Server Reports Inside Power BI Mobile App
Hello everyone, We are using Power BI Mobile with an on-premises Power BI Report Server. We have multiple Power BI reports, and we would like users to navigate from one report to another using buttons inside the reports. For example: Report 1 → Report 2 → Report 3 Our goal is to keep the navigation inside the Power BI Mobile app. Currently, when we use the normal Power BI Report Server report URL in a button, the link may open through the mobile web browser instead of opening the target report directly inside the Power BI Mobile app. Is there an officially supported way to navigate between different Power BI Report Server reports while staying inside the Power BI Mobile app? For example, is there a supported deep link, URL format, or another navigation method specifically for on-premises Power BI Report Server? Please note that we are using Power BI Report Server (on-premises), not the Power BI Service. Thank you for your help.157Views1like4CommentsReduce Category Header Height in New Card Visual
Hi Community, I'm using the New Card Visual in Power BI and have enabled the title with a blue background and white text. As shown below, the Category Header area appears quite tall compared to other visual titles (such as chart titles), and I'm trying to reduce the height of the blue header section to make the KPI cards more compact and visually consistent with the rest of the report. I've already tried: Reducing the text size Checking Multi-category Layout settings Looking for padding or spacing options ( I have made it to 0) However, the header height only decreases slightly and still occupies more space than desired. Question: Is there any way to further reduce the Category Header height in the New Card Visual, or is there a minimum height limitation built into the visual? Ideally, I'd like the header to look similar to the title bar shown in standard chart visuals. Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Title: Power BI Matrix — How to Show Subtotal Only at StudentID Level, Not StudentName Level? I am using Power BI Desktop October 2026, version 2.159.883.0 (64-bit). My Matrix visual has: Rows: StudentID → StudentName → Subject Values: Total Marks My data model contains a student master table and a student transaction table, related by StudentID. I want to show: StudentID 101 subtotal = 258 StudentID 102 subtotal = 166 StudentID 103 subtotal = 180 StudentName subtotal should not appear Subject-level marks must remain visible Grand total = 775 I enabled Row subtotals and used Apply settings to → Per row level. However, when I select StudentName and turn Show subtotal off, the StudentID subtotal also disappears. How can I achieve this in my Power BI version? Please provide the exact navigation for this version or a verified alternative. I can provide screenshots and a sample PBIX file if needed.Solved119Views3likes7CommentsPower BI Service Refresh Fails with DataFormat. Error 10942 - Desktop Refresh Works.
Hi Everyone, I need help troubleshooting a persistent Power BI Service refresh issue. I have spent considerable time debugging it using Copilot, AI assistance, YouTube tutorials, and community suggestions, but the issue remains unresolved. 1. Issue and Error My Power BI report refreshes successfully in Power BI Desktop, usually within 7–15 minutes, but every refresh fails in Power BI Service. Exact error: DataFormat.Error: We were unable to load this Excel file because we couldn't understand its format. File contains corrupted data. Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ErrorCode = 10942. The error appears while processing the semantic model. 2. Data Source and Dashboard Logic Data source: SharePoint folder using SharePoint.Files() in Power Query. SharePoint contains approximately 900 MB+ of data and hundreds of files. Files are spread across five folders, containing Excel and CSV files. Power Query filters files by folder path, imports Excel workbooks using Excel.Workbook(), promotes headers, changes data types, and combines files using the Combine Files / Transform Sample File mechanism. Multiple queries depend on a common BASE SOURCE query. These queries process different datasets, including MAIN, PROFILES, LOGIN, BREAK, QC, ABANDON, and other reporting datasets. The processed data is used in my VKYC Daily Reporting Dashboard. 3. Troubleshooting Already Done I have already tried: Re-authenticating SharePoint and Power BI Service data-source credentials. Checking file extensions, file formats, column names, data types, and historical schema differences. Standardising the historical ACHT column and newer TaskID column to TaskID. Checking for desktop.ini and other unexpected files. Reviewing Power Query dependencies and the Transform File / Transform Sample File helper queries. Testing try...otherwise logic and adjusting Excel sheet navigation. Checking queries individually. The MAIN query was the first to show an error during one Desktop debugging attempt; other queries failed because of dependencies. Creating a separate test PBIX and rebuilding the Combine Files logic, then publishing it to Service. The test PBIX also refreshes in Desktop but fails in Service with the same error. I have also checked the SharePoint file metadata, but I still cannot identify the exact file causing the problem. 4. Help Needed Could someone please suggest a reliable way to: Identify the exact Excel file causing DataFormat.Error 10942 during Power BI Service refresh? Log the file name and folder path of files that fail when Excel.Workbook() processes them? Diagnose why Service fails while Desktop refresh succeeds? Test or isolate problematic files without manually opening hundreds of files or rebuilding the entire dashboard? Use Power Query M code or another diagnostic method to capture the failing file and error details? I would particularly appreciate a practical, step-by-step solution or sample M code that can help identify the exact failing file. I have already tried multiple troubleshooting approaches and would really appreciate expert guidance. Thank you!Solved78Views0likes5Comments
