Hello community,
After creating my Power BI dashboard and publishing it, I am running into a problem when it comes to sharing it in PPT format.
I am using the PPT add-in to present my slides linked to the cloud version of my dashboard.
But when I share the PPT with other people outside my organisation, the other person cannot see the slides and is getting this error message:
Does this mean that the add-in does not support sharing PPT files linked to PBI between people from different organisations? Or is there an option to fix this and be able to share the PPT with someone else?
The other person has access to the workspace where the dashboard is stored, so this cannot be the problem.
Any users who have experienced similar problems and can guide me on how to fix this please? Thank you very much
Hi @Yerai ,
The Power BI add-in for PowerPoint only supports Power BI report pages and visual objects.
Other types of items such as dashboards and paged reports are not supported.

Hi Yang,
Thank you for comming back.
The issue comes when sharing the PPT file externally, it did work perfectly on my own PC and on my colleague's on my same domain. The external user was user as an externall user on the workspace, and they have no issue viewing the report/dashboard on the BI Service.
Any idea where this issue is comming from?
Thanks in advance
