report on state/status of scheduled refresh

we're creating a PBI dataset that will have all the important bits that need to be monitored when checking for data ecosystem health. There is PBI report on top of the dataset. The report is very generic but works wonderfully on the phone.

I would like to include the status of the dataset refreshes - basically the refresh history found in app.powerbi.com. How can I get this information? I've tried DMV, but that's not right because that's about the model. I've tried looking at azure services, but I am not seeing it.

Any clues, or full-blown answers, are appreciated.

(not everyone that needs to check on health has access to our workspace that has the enterprise datasets, so they cannot go there)
