This one has the 'Date Updated' in the banner when opening the repport.
This one does not show the 'Date Updated' in the banner when opening the report. Though it has been updated in the past.
I don't see any pattern as to the reports that have a "last updated" and those who do not. What determines it?
soapbox: It don't matter. Neither of them are useful anyway. Create your own timestamp based on the actual data. That is much more meaningful . /soapbox

And that's what I always did at my last place (since - hey maybe the dataset updated, but maybe the db behind it had stale data, etc.)
