Two of my reports are scheduled at the same time in the Power BI service. Both of them failed with the same error. There was no outage on the PBI gateway server and the server was up. Can anyone help me out with the root cause and the solution?
When re-running the reports manually, it is refreshing.
Hi @Mayuri_Ghosh ,
There are a couple of possibilities why your two Power BI reports scheduled at the same time might be failing with the same error even though the gateway server is operational. Here's how to troubleshoot:
Running reports concurrently can overload the refresh process, especially if they are complex or access large datasets.
Retry the scheduled refresh manually. Often, these issues resolve themselves on a second attempt.
An issue with the data source itself could be causing the refresh to fail for both reports.Gateway configuration Even though the server is up, there might be misconfigurations with the gateway used to access the data source.
Please make sure you are using latest gateway.
If none of these solutions work, it might be necessary to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
Hi,
Yes after re-running the reports manually, both of them got refreshed.
What kind of issues in the data source can cause? How can there be misconfiguration?
All other schedule reports are running fine and these two reports also refreshed successfully except yesterday.
I am new to this so quite not familiar.
thanks for the reply.
