"Clear All Slicers" Button in Dashboard)

Hi all,

I just want to double check if it's a limitation in Dashboard or if there is anything wrong in my end.

When creating a "Clear all slicers" button in my report (PBI Desktop) it works fine; then I publish it on the service and also works fine if using the report, but then when I create a dashboard from that report page, the button doesn't work.

Anyone else experiencing this? Or it's a limitation of the Dashboard?

Thanks,

Ana

Hi , Hope you are doing good!

Yes, it's a limitation of Power BI Dashboards. In Power BI, buttons and other interactive elements like slicers work in reports but not in dashboards. Dashboards are static visualizations, and interactivity such as slicer reset buttons does not carry over from the report to the dashboard.

If you need slicer functionality, you'll need to use the report view rather than the dashboard. Alternatively, you can add a link to the report from the dashboard so users can interact with the full report features.

@AnaR

Hello,  thank you for confirming, that's what I thought - dashboards are static.

I have the dashboards in D365 so it's easier for my end users to access their data. I guess I'll just have to keep telling them to clear the filters on each slicer then.

Thank you 🙂

Hi @AnaR

You can refer to the following document, this is a limitation of dashboard.

@AnaR ,

I've never experienced or tried it before to be honest, but you can use the reset slicers button.
