hi
does anyone have experience with putting power bi behind a private link and block public internet access?
What are your experiences? Is it true that with that option, you can no longer create a report based on a dataset in www.powerbi.com? Because that sounds like you will get 10 datamodels for 10 reports, which I truly do not like.
why would you put it behind a private link, in what scenario's, en when not? and what tips can you give?
Hi @jessegorter ,
Please review the following links to get more details.
Private endpoints for accessing Power BI
You can use the Azure Private Link feature to provide secure access for data traffic in Power BI. Azure networking provides the Azure Private Link feature. In this configuration, Azure Private Link and Azure Networking private endpoints are used to send data traffic privately using Microsoft's backbone network infrastructure. The data travels the Microsoft private network backbone instead of going across the Internet.Private endpoints make sure that Power BI users go through the Microsoft private network backbone when they access resources in the Power BI service.

thanks, I've read that site, but I was wondering if anyone has experience doing that to a live tenant with 1000+ users, and what that impact would be, and wouldn't you get 100 datamodels for 100 reports that way?
This is your chance to engage directly with the engineering team behind Fabric and Power BI. Share your experiences and shape the future.
