power BI gateway connection issues

Hi Team,

I am trying to connect to SQL Analysis Services cube through an On premised gateway.

I have my Power BI desktop installed on one VM, the AS cube on another VM. Though i was able to connect to the cube using Power Bi desktop and able to configure the gateway successfully, once i publish this report onto the service and trying to access it getting a message "There was a datasource access error, please contact the gateway administrator".

Also, on the visual am getting a message "Couldn’t load the schema for the database model"

Can anyone help me out fixing this issue?

Hi @SwaroopRoyM,

In Power BI service, the email address which signed in Power BI will be passed to Analysis Services as the effective user. This email address should match a defined UPN within the local Active Directory Domain. If not, you will need to Map User Names, for more information, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-enterprise-manage-ssas#usernames-with-anal...
