Hello,
I am using HTML code in ParaHTMLViewer or HTML content visual and I want when the user clicks on the item to open a new tab in the browser.
The code that I use is a bit more complicated than the one below but neither works in Power BI Service.
When the user press Ctrl + Left click or Right Click > Open link in new tab it works fine, but I would also like to give the option of left clicking once and still works.
Clickable_Report =
"<a href='" & SELECTEDVALUE(DIM_REPORTS_BI[REPORT_URL]) &
"' target='_blank'>" & SELECTEDVALUE(DIM_REPORTS_BI[REPORT_NAME]) & "</a>"
I would appreciate if anyone could assist on that.
Thank you!

I have found the solution. It was a simple one. I used HTML Content and then on the Behaviour settings > Allow opening URLs.

Hi @andreasz93
Power BI Service restricts certain HTML behaviors, including opening links in a new tab with a single left-click. While your code with target='_blank' should work in some cases, Power BI may block this behavior for security reasons. There's no straightforward way to force this in Power BI Service. A workaround could be guiding users to right-click and select "Open link in new tab," or embedding reports in an iframe for more control.
