frozen toolitip over line chart when you explore report via pbi service

Hello, I need help for my client reports.
I have a report published in PBI service . When my users (with read only access ) open a report and hoover over a linechart first time they got a good tooltip for a sfirst elect datapoint.
But when they move a mouse to another point in a linechart, there is no other tooltip, just the first one still frozen.
Have you ever accounter such a usecase?
Can I do something from my side to remove this bug?
thanks for any ideas
Lucia

Hey @Lucy8466 ,

The tooltip freeze issue might be related to browser performance or caching on Mac devices when viewing the Power BI report. Few things you could try to resolve the issue:

  1. Browser Compatibility: Try different browsers like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, as these tend to offer better compatibility with Power BI.

  2. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, clearing the browser cache and cookies can help resolve UI issues.

  3. Update the Browser: Ensure that the browser is up to date.

  4. Disable Hardware Acceleration: Turning off hardware acceleration in their browser settings resolves graphical issues in Power BI.

  5. Check Power BI Version: If you are using any experimental features or updates on Power BI, try rolling back or disabling them to see if the issue persists.

For Detailed Information:

Clear Cache and Cookies for Browser Issues

Disabling Hardware Acceleration in Browsers

Oh and another point to this problem is that it happens only to users exploring report from MAC PC

Hi @Lucy8466

I agree with Mason. If this is only affecting Mac users, it's likely not an issue with the report itself, but rather an issue with how Safari is rendering it.

Can you have your mac users install chrome and try again?
If you found this helpful, consider giving some Kudos. If I answered your question or solved your problem, mark this post as the solution.

Hi, it sounds more like a rendering issue specific to macOS browsers (possibly Safari), not a DAX or report design problem.
Try viewing the report in Edge latest version. If the issue persists, I’d recommend opening a Microsoft support ticket with the environment details, as this likely stems from Power BI Service’s tooltip rendering on macOS.
