hi all,
i read here that there is a way to row level security (using role list ore the data analysis connector? if someone can specify me please again)
but now i want to do column level security, for example that employees can show only several measures from fact, manager can see them all. is anyone can help me with that?
thank you very much
Well, if you use Analysis Services, there is a way. From here:
Dynamic calculations (measures, KPIs, DetailRows) are automatically restricted if they reference a secured table or column. While there is no mechanism to explicitly secure a measure, it is possible to implicitly secure a measure by updating the expression to refer to a secured table or column.
You can do row-level security to filter data according to the user but not to hide measures. If you could do that, I don't know how you could prevent a report from breaking if it used a measure that the current user could not see.
You can find info on row-level security here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-admin-analysis-services-connector-indepth/...
