I am trying to build a dashboard incorporated with a write-back functionality. The database is in SQL. I tried using Powerapps to build an app which will talk to the database by inserting new records and retrieving records, which will then be embedded into my dashboard on Power BI. However, I am only able to retrieve data from SQL and not insert any new records. Can someone help me understand how I can achieve this? If there are other means of performing a write-back on Power BI, I am more than welcome to adopt it. Thanks in advance!
Hi @Anonymous,
Take a look at http://www.prc.com.au/visual-planner/
This product allows full write-back functionality to datasets including SQL server and should fix the problems you're facing.
Regards
Scott
