What all type of workspaces returned by Admin - WorkspaceInfo GetModifiedWorkspaces

Hi Team,

As of today, I am only seeing PersonalGroup and workspaces as a response from my service account. But not sure about Group type, if customer account will have such workspaces.

Read few blogs mentioning that workspaces migrated from classical to new. Is migration mean that updating Group type to Workspace type ?

Does the API https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/workspace-info-get-modified-workspaces

Ex: GET https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/admin/workspaces/modified?modifiedSince={modifiedSince}&excludePe...

returns all type of workspaces : PersonalGroup, Group, Workspace?

Thanks !

If you Administrator has granted permission for people to create, then you can check out this posts: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-create-the-new-workspaces

If you were talking about "Service Account" and not "Power Bi Service". Then you can use this API request: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/groups/create-group

Hi. Yes. By default it returns all workspaces (Actives and Personals). If you want you can filter by modifiedDate or excludePersonalWorkspaces, but if you don't specify any of that it will return a list of all workspaces ID of all types in the organization.

I hope that helps,

P/D if you want to filter just check the URI Parameters at your first link

Thanks for prompt reply @ibarrau .

So, if I use these parameters XXX?excludePersonalWorkspaces=TRUE&excludeInActiveWorkspaces=TRUE, then it will only return active workspaces of all type (PersonalGroup, Group, Workspace) ?

Yes. It will also return that if you don't write any parameter. From "?" to the end is not necessary if you want them all. By default those parameters are set to "TRUE".

I hope that helps,

Yes I am looking to use those parameters. Infact I am using it as of today and it just works and types I am seeing are Workspace.

Any idea on how can one create a Group workspace from Power BI service account ? To validate if Group type also returned.

Thanks !
