Visual Interaction Reading Mode Bug

If we are in Edit mode (Power BI service) and click on Visual Interaction, we are of course able to edit the interactions. However if we go back to the reading mode we see that if we click on a graph the visual interaction mode is still available. It should not be possible to change the interaction in reading mode, which is possible now. (Maybe this cause strange the strange behaviour we are currently facing, and described below)

We are also facing problems with the Interactions, it looks like the way we set the interactions is not saved correctly. We currently have to set them correct again and again

@Roytjoo

Generally there should be no “Edit function” in “Read view”, but the “Edit function” - visual interaction still can be seen and changed.

According to my test, the change will be not be saved after switch to other reports and switch back, or refresh page directly. So it should have no negative impact.

Power BI team have already known this and may work on it in the near future.

Best Regards,

Herbert

Hi @Roytjoo,

Based on my test, if we check the “Visual Interaction” setting in Edit Report mode and back to the Reading View, we can also change visual interactions.

To work though this issue temporarily, you can manual click on the “Visual Interaction” button uncheck it. I will report this issue internally and will update here once get any feedback.

@Roytjoo I can reproduce your issue. You should submit it as a bug here. Design should be that once you get out of visual interaction it should not let you change and save that.
