User refresh for app

Hi there!

I am wondering if there is any way for an app user to refresh the data gateway to our local data.

Several users use this app and require the most recent hourly data for when they load up the app. Yes, we can auto refresh 8 times a day every 3 hours to span the day, but this is unnecessary since it is only accessed a few times a month and it is still not the most current data available.

Asides from having a desktop version (no version control of pbix docs) or giving access to workspace (back end might get messed up and confusing navigation), are there any other options or work arounds to refreshing data? Are there any Ideas to vote on for future updates?

You may use Power Bi API with flow to create a button that will refresh... but this is very complicated.
