Use custom connector with Power BI Embedded

Hello,

We want to request some custom API and so we made connectors to reach them in Power BI Desktop.

I would like to know if it's possible to use custom connectors with reports uploaded on Power Bi Embedded ?

The embedding feature just embeds whatever published via the PowerBI App. As long as you can connect to the datasource and setup it on Power BI App you can embed that report anywhere and use the data from the custom source.

I'm okay with that, but to keep the link between reports and our API to refresh data, custom connectors developed locally have to be published somewhere no ?
