Unpin menu icons (like Onelake data hub, Metrics, Monitor, Learn etc.) for end users in PBI Service

Hi all,

I am a Power BI consultant working for many different customers. All of my customers have Power BI report builders (<10%) and end users (90%). Those end users get confused in the Power BI service. On the left side there are so many icons to choose from.

I believe that Microsoft thinks that all Power BI users are report builders, but most users only view reports. They dont need icons such as  OneLake data Hub Monitor etc.

Unpin most icons power bi service by default (admin feature).png

Every user can unpin icons themselves, but it is difficult to tell this to all end users.
As an admin I want to switch of numerous icons by default.

Any suggestions how to realize this?

thanks for they possible solution. But Power BI embedded is certainly not what I am looking for given the costs that would solve such problem.

Hi. The only way avoinding this for viewers would be using Power Bi Apps or purchasing/develop a PowerBi Embedded SaaS (like for example www.pibi.cloud you can google there are many) . Both ways might help reducing the buttons or places a user really needs.

I hope that helps,
