Unable to show the full list when click the "More Options" of the dataset in PBI Service

When I click the "More Options" the first time, I get the picture two which isn't friendly.

And I get picture one when I click the "More Options" the second time.

Hi @WillingLu ,

You can use this link to create a support ticket.
How to create a Fabric and Power BI Support ticket - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hope this helps!

Hi @WillingLu ,

You can raise a Support ticket here- Microsoft Fabric service status

Hope this helps!

It seems unable to do this in China or in our company.

Thank you anyway.

Hi

Yes, I tried to raise a ticket but failed cause it's difficult and Unfriendly to raise a ticket.

The link you share will go to Microsoft Fabric support website with two option: Submit a ticket/know issues, 图像.png

and the former will go to PBI service where cannot raise a ticket.

So could you tell me how to raise a ticket?

Thank you.

When users click on the three-dot menu (often referred to as the "ellipsis" or context menu) for the first time in Power BI Service, they may notice that only a limited set of options is displayed.

Possible Cause:
This behavior could be influenced by several factors:

  • Browser Settings: Some browsers may restrict or alter UI rendering due to extensions, zoom levels, or privacy settings.
  • Screen Resolution or Display Scaling: On smaller screens or high-DPI displays, the menu may truncate options to fit within the visible area.
  • Initial Load State: The full set of options might not be rendered immediately due to lazy loading or delayed UI initialization.
  • Workspace Permissions: Depending on the user's role (Viewer, Contributor, Member, Admin), certain options may be hidden by design.

Why It Might Be Considered a Bug:
In cases where:

  • The full menu fails to appear even after repeated interactions,
  • The options vary inconsistently across sessions or browsers,
  • Or the UI does not respond to resizing or scrolling,

…it could be flagged as a UI rendering bug or accessibility issue. Especially if it impacts usability or causes confusion for end users.

On first click, the "More Options" menu sometimes appears incomplete due to a UI glitch or screen position.
On second click, it usually renders correctly.
Quick Fixes:
- Scroll slightly before clicking.
- Zoom browser to 100%.
- Try a different browser or disable extensions.
- Refresh the page if it persists.

Thank you for your suggestions, but they don't work on this issue.

Hi @WillingLu ,

I am not so sure about that.
I can see it expand in my system.

Hi @WillingLu ,

The "more options" in report lets you explore options like-
Analyzing  data/Workspace lineage/export to pdf or PPT- mostly focusing on report level actions.

Whereas Semantic model  "More Options"  lets you explore options which are data related like-
Permission management/Refresh setting/Version history/download.

Hope this explains!
Thank you.

Hi~

Thanks for your reply.

But you didn't get what I mean.

I clicked the "more options" twice and both for Semantic model.

The option list folded in the first time, and expended in the second time.

So why the option list cannot expend in the first time?
