Unable to schedule refresh azure data lake report using excel sources

If a build data lake report that links to excel source saved locally, I'm unable to schedule a refresh when it is upload to power bi service in a workspace.

Though as a workaround, I upload excel into desktop which is time consuming. Do it really need gateway which I dont think as the file is laoded to data lake? Please help
